Ilex crenata 'Kinme'
Garden Bonsai from Japan - height 250/275cm excl. container
Garden Bonsai
Bonsai is a Japanese word that literally means “tree in a container.” In practice, this is achieved through branch pruning, root pruning, cultivation in small containers, and training branches and trunks into the desired shape using aluminium or annealed copper wire. In this way, a tree that would naturally grow into a specimen several metres tall can be transformed into an elegant plant in a compact form.
Botanicalgroup imports larger bonsai trees directly from Japan. These trees are also known as “Garden Bonsai.” The average age of these trees is approximately 80 years. Throughout this time, they have been carefully cultivated by a Japanese Bonsai Master.
Botanicalgroup exclusively imports varieties that are highly suitable for planting in Western European gardens. Examples include:
-
Taxus cuspidata
-
Ilex crenata
-
Pinus parviflora
An exclusive Garden Bonsai is a work of art in itself and a true enhancement to any garden.
In short: a highly ornamental, hardy tree with a rich heritage.
