The Japanese Bonsai (Garden Bonsai)
Bonsai is a Japanese word that literally means "tree in a pot." This is achieved in practice through pruning branches, trimming roots, growing in small pots, and shaping the stems and trunks using aluminum or annealed copper wire to grow into the desired shape. In this way, a tree that would naturally grow into a tall specimen can be transformed into a graceful plant on a smaller scale.
The Olivetree Specialist imports exclusive Japanese bonsai trees directly from Japan. The average age of these Japanese bonsai trees is 80 years. Over all these years, they have been carefully tended by a Japanese Bonsai Master.
In addition, we also import bonsai trees from Italy. The species used for these bonsais are easy to shape, allowing for the creation of a beautiful bonsai form in much less time. This is the more budget-friendly counterpart to the Japanese bonsai.
The Olivetree Specialist only imports varieties that are exceptionally suited for placement in Western European gardens.
