The Palm Tree (Trachycarpus fortunei)
The palm tree (Trachycarpus fortunei) is the most sold palm, and rightly so. Thanks to its fibrous trunk, this palm can withstand temperatures as low as -18 degrees Celsius.
The Trachycarpus fortunei grows on average 8-10 cm per year, depending on its location, and has long leaf stems and large fan-shaped leaves, forming a crown width of over one meter.
In terms of disease and fungal resistance, the Trachycarpus fortunei is the toughest palm there is.
All palms in the assortment of the Olive Tree Specialist are field-grown and raised in a continental climate. Do not confuse our quality with garden center quality. These palms are often quickly grown in greenhouses with high temperatures and humidity, making them unsuitable for placement in our climate.
