The White Mulberry Tree (Morus platanifolia 'Fruitless')
The white mulberry (Morus platanifolia 'Fruitless') is a winter-hardy, deciduous tree that is often sold as a standard tree.
The Olive Tree Specialist only supplies the Morus platanifolia 'Fruitless'. The reason for this is that this variety is optimal as a canopy tree for creating shaded areas on terraces. This white mulberry produces very few fruits, so the terrace underneath the tree remains mostly clean when the fruits fall. The fruits are, however, edible.
The white mulberry has large, glossy, pointed green leaves. It is a fast grower, quickly forming a beautiful, wide, and dense canopy within just a few years. When used in a canopy form, it is best to prune the tree twice a year.
In short: a beautiful tree with large leaves that can create a lovely natural canopy.
